Projected Capacitive Touch Screens

Projected Capacitive technology works off of an electrostatic field that is created by layers of conductive materials that are individually etched to form a grid pattern of electrodes. A touch event occurs when a finger or conductive stylus interferes with the electric field projected above the surface. This change in capacitance is detected by the controller which interprets the X and Y coordinates of the event. Multiple fingers can be tracked simultaneously and the controller supports common multi-touch gestures.

Glass-Glass

Dawar’s Glass-Glass PCAP solution consists of two glass circuits that are optically bonded together with Optically Clear Adhesive (OCA). A decorative lens can be added to the front surface of the sensor to allow for product designs similar to tablet PCs. We offer a full range of standard Glass-Glass products from 4.3”W - 24”W as well as full custom solutions to meet your application requirements.

Glass-Film-Film & Glass-Film

Dawar’s Glass-Film-Film PCAP solution consists of two film circuits that are optically bonded to a glass lens with Optically Clear Adhesive (OCA). This construction is ideal for users who are looking for the same durability as our Glass-Glass product with a decorative front lens but require an overall thinner and lighter solution.

Double-Sided-ITO-Glass

Dawar’s Double-Sided-ITO PCAP solution consists of front glass lens with a glass sensor that has its circuits formed on both sides of the same piece of glass. This sensor construction is also known as DITO (Dual ITO). The GG2 construction allows for a relatively thin construction but with the option of a variety of lens decorations and thicknesses that can be optically bonded to the sensor.
